May 1/15 – I’m a hoarder of fabrics, most specifically denim. I have oodles and oodles of jeans. And when I say oodles, I mean hundreds. Many are cut up (seams, zipper and waistband removed) and many are still whole. I also have flannel, lots and lots of flannel. Old t-shirts. Love those too! Being a recycler like I am, I don’t buy new stuff. I take old stuff from friends and family. Or myself. I scour the thrift stores. I even hit the odd garage sale or two. I like love the idea of repurposing things. Old clothes no one wants to wear anymore. Make a quilt! Or a reusable shopping bag. Or a cover for a dog bed. The possibilities are endless when imagination is put to the job.
Here are some of the fabrics I’ve rescued:
March 9/16 – I also rescue old, flannel jammies, as long as they’re still in really good shape! And the Tigger pillowcase from last year was finally turned into a quilt. I just have to finish the edges and it will be ready for sale 🙂
